I am Rachna Kapoor speaking of None other than our one an only Humble Sri Chittedath Rajeevan Gurukkal ...

Words are not enough to describe what he is but let me put in some effort to script him.

Chitedath Rajeevan Gurukkal started training Kalarippayattu under his Grandfather Sri Kaltharakal Vasudevan Gurukkal Known as Vasu Gurukkal who learned kalaripayattu from Malappuram Sukumaran Gurukkal. At the age of 9, as per the advice from his grandfather he continued his training under Sri Koloth Sreedharan Gurukkal and continued practising Kalari upto the age of 30 and have won many championships
After the demise of Sri Sreedharan Gurukkal, Our Rajeevan Gurukkal established Agasthya Bharatha Institute of Panchakarma and Health Studies at Kadavantara which was a Kalari training Centre and a panchakarma medical Centre with the training Traditional Kalari Marma therapy, Ayurveda Nursing, Panchakarma and holistic healing etc.. in affilitition with Bharath Sevak Samaj.
Rajeevan Gurukkal has been trained by the Kadathanadu Chandran Gurukal's main disciple Sri Unikrishgnan Gurukkal (KPCGM) and the Prominent Vallabhatta Vishwanathan Gurukkal.
His quest to knowledge pushed him further to pore knowledge in Marma shastra along with Thekkan Kalari Chikilsa muraikal(the method of traditional siddha marma tretments) from Nagercoil Pandaravillai Savairajan Nadar Aashan, Madurai Padiyarajan Ashan and Kanyakumari Kambavilla Arjunan Ashan. He even spent considerable time in learning the Nadar adimurai art as well. The quest pushed him further to Purushotaman Vaidyar and Tommy Vaidyar to gain expertise in Panchakarma and Traditional Tantric and holistic healing techniques.
Sri Rajeevan Gurukkal to continue his dip into the ocean of knowledge picked up Pooja Karama, Kshetracharas and tantra vidhi from the renowned Nagercoil Neelakandan Potti who was the acharya of Agastya gurukulam varma kala tantra vidya kshetra. (Just before the demise of Neelakandan Potti, he himself blessed and chose Shri Raajeevan Gurukkal for the Guru Sthanam ....to take charge as a Guru for Agasthya Gurukulam amongst thousands of his disciples.).
In 2012, the Kerala kalarippayattu association gave membership to Sri Rajeevan Gurukkal as an official member of Kerala kalaripayattu association affiliated to sports council of kerala. He continued to establish Agastiya Bharatha Kalari training institute in Ernakulam, and trained 67 champions till date, who secured various prizes at the district, state and national level competitions including Khelo India Youth Games And National Games.
Even after having great achievements to be proud off, his thrust for learning has not ended.

In the Panchakula Khelo India Youth Games, Rajeevan Gurukkal had was one of the certified coaches representing Kerala, and was later promoted as the technical official during the Khelo India Conducted at Chandigarh (2022) and Trichi (2023)

Rajeevan Gurukkal successfully established the Kalarippayattu Council of Karnataka..... by co-ordinating with the vairous Kalari Gurukkals in Karnataka..the organisation which affiliated to Indian Kalaripayattu Federation and sports authority of karnataka. Currently he is the Hon. State Secretory of the association and member of sports authority of karnataka (SAK)
He has successfully trained close to 4000 students from various parts of India and all over the Globe in Kalaripayattu, Pachakarma Chikitsa, Kalari chikitsa and marma chikitsa Etc...

What makes him class apart ?

In 2014 Rajeevan Gurukkal was selected as one of the 5 five fighters who had the opportunity to go to Japan to be trained from Okama Sensei on unarmed advanced compact training.
In reflection to the contributions delivered into kalarippayattu and traditional healing techniques Euro- Asian university has acknowledged him with a honorary doctorate.
Rajeevan Gurukkal was one amongst the first 5 of the selected coaches at an international level from India. in 2014.
Under the world martial arts federation, Rajeevan Gurukkal is an international A grade referee, an international technical analyst and coach.
Rajeevan Gurukkal has been the national champion in the unarmed combat continuously for 9 times and have won a gold medal for India in the south Asian tournament (2009), asian tournament (2010) and the first bronze medallist (2012) from India at the international level.
Rajeevan Gurukkal has also added his valued contributions to the National defense Pre recruitment training and commando training. He has been a specialized trainer to perform unarmed combats.
His greatness lies... In his Humble Belief that he is an eternal student and shall remain one, and keep learning till the end of time.
